Stacked Homes published a review of Thomson Reserve on 16 October 2026, written after a press preview and ahead of the public preview on 17 October 2026. The project sits on Bright Hill Drive, off Upper Thomson Road, and has its official launch on 31 October 2026. For buyers following the District 20 launch, the review is useful because it speaks about everyday living: how the land is used, how rooms can be arranged, which way the windows face and how the walk to the station works.
Scale comes first. Stacked Homes counted 1,268 homes on a site of more than 555,000 sq ft, close to seven football fields, divided between a 740-unit Classic Collection and a 528-unit Luxury Collection. Six towers carry them, four of 21 storeys and two of 30 storeys, with homes running from two to five bedrooms and from 592 sq ft to 1,808 sq ft.
The review's standout is the land plan. Stacked Homes reported that 88% of the site goes to landscaping and 12% to the footprint of the towers, a ratio it says tops other launches such as Nava Grove, Meyer Mansion and UOL's own Principal Garden. For a buyer, that split means most of the ground around the towers stays open and planted.
Four Design Notes From the Review, for Terra Hill Home Seekers
- Reconfigurable walls: Stacked Homes noted that the development is non-PPVC, meaning it is not built from prefabricated volumetric modules, so certain walls in each unit type can be removed. Its examples were a larger bedroom or a walk-in wardrobe.
- Outlook: most units face Upper and Lower Peirce Reservoirs, the Central Catchment Reserve and the Upper Thomson landed estate, which includes the Windsor Park Good Class Bungalow area. Stacked Homes added that most of these view-facing units take the evening sun from the west.
- Home mix: two-bedroom homes number 716 of the 1,268, which surprised Stacked Homes given the district's character as an area of mainly private houses. It reads the mix as an affordability strategy.
- Neighbours: the Windsor Park estate lies opposite, and one of the 39 designated Good Class Bungalow areas sits within it.
On access, Stacked Homes placed the project next to Exit 2 of Upper Thomson MRT station, with an existing fully sheltered path and a direct link to Thomson Plaza. It put Orchard MRT five stops away, about 10 minutes, and Shenton Way ten stops away, about 20 minutes. The North-South Corridor, once due from 2027, has been delayed to 2029, with parts opening gradually to 2031. For schooling, Ai Tong School is within 1 km, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School and Catholic High School are nearby, and Raffles Institution and Raffles Girls' School are under a 10-minute drive. Lower Peirce, Upper Peirce and MacRitchie Reservoirs are all under 10 minutes by car.
